4 Major Considerations To Make During Cool Room Installation Process

Posted on

Cool rooms come in large varieties of businesses like bakeries and pharmacies. Their main function is to preserve goods and protect them from going bad before use. When doing the installation, you must consider specific aspects of their operation to achieve the best result possible. You also need tools like mastic, silicone, cam lock and gloves to complete the installation process.

Here is what you need to consider about the cool room installation process.

Select The Right Location For The Installation Process

Sunlight is a nightmare for most cool rooms. As the facility is designed to lower temperatures possible to preserve your goods, UV lights will definitely counter this move. Therefore, ensure your cool room is set in a tight place with limited exposure to the sun.

Have Enough Space

Your cool room should have enough space at the entrance to offer room for the door to open and shut easily. For instance, swing doors need enough space to avoid obstruction. If not, their structural tension and alignment can be distorted.

Ensure The Surface Is Levelled

Erection of your cool room unit must be done on a flat surface. This avoids panel misalignment and allows the door to move freely. In most cases, it is advisable to leave some space allowance at each end of the floor.

Where To Erect Your Cool Room

Cool rooms can be installed on three different floor plan systems.

For the first plan, the cool room is installed on existing concrete with no insulation. With this option, you begin by taking measures of the dimensions of the room while marking them out. If your floor plan has a square design, the existing differences in diagonals from corner to corner should not be too large. Next, you decide on the type of material to be best used for the installation process based on your taste and budget. Most people prefer aluminium base "F" mould for the installation process.

Plan two involves cool rooms installed on insulated concrete floors. With this option, you need to apply polythene on the inside of aluminium base as well as the edges. Finally, the polythene strip applied is laid out on top of a mastic bread, and the wall section is erected.

Finally, the final plan has cool rooms installed on prefabricated floor systems that have wall panels. In situations where the floor system extends to more than one section of the common area where installation is being done, the matching panels used must be closely placed to achieve an accurate result.
